Wilentz SeanSean Wilentz Sean Wilentz is the Sidney and Ruth Lapidus Professor in the American Revolutionary Era and Professor of History at Princeton University, where he has taught since 1979. His books include The Rise of American Democracy: Jefferson to Lincoln, which was awarded the Bancroft Prize and nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in 2006, and The Age of Reagan: A History, 1974-2008. A contributing editor at The New Republic and Newsweek, he writes widely on history, politics, and the arts. He is also historian-in-residence at Bob Dylan's official website and is now completing a book tentatively entitled, Bob Dylan in America.
