In defense of cashing out the public option to pay for health execs’ luxurious lifestyles

Finally, America has found someone with the courage and conviction to raise a controversial question: Don’t health insurance executives deserve their American dream? That great dream which, in the words of brave patriot Will Ferrell, can and must include, should said executives so dream, “a mini zoo in your backyard for exotic animals, like white tigers and pygmy horses.”

Until now, there have been too few advocates for pygmy horses, too few people willing to defend the right, nay, the need for “five houses private planes, $500 million”…in the (too big to fail) bank. There have been too few who understand, as Jon Hamm does, that “health insurance companies are huge. They need to make big profits so they can afford to give their employees health insurance.” And he should know: How else, after all, would the Don Drapers of today offer prenatal care to their Peggy Olsons if executives weren’t able to gouge the rest of us?

Thank you, Will Ferrell and the rest of Hollywood, for finally setting the record straight on health care.
